roof size 2003 CD 22

My boat is stored for the winter at the marina, so I was wondering if someone could tell me the length and with of the roof on the 2003 CD 22 (am trying to order a dinghy and I want to make sure it will fit on the roof.)

Thank You

If someone has one they like that fits on the roof, that ifno would also be much appreciated. I am just looking for something very basic to carry my wife's (Dahkota) rat sized dog to shore during our overnighters.

That last line caused me to spit a little coffee on the keyboard. It was worth it.

Do you have a radar arch? If not then an 8ft by 4 1/2-5ft dinghy will fit nicely. With a tall arch the key dimensions are the narrowest inside span and distance from the cabin top to the underside of the arch at the shallowest point. We have a West marine 260 dinghy and it fits under our high radar arch with maybe an inch to spare. It extends just a little over the bow and stern edges of the cabin top.

The Alaska Series Inflatables fit perfectly on a CD-22 and are incredibly durable, light and easy to row. Many C-Brats have these dinghys on their boats and they come highly recommended.

Here's a couple examples of how they look on C-Dancer. Plus, it fits nicely under our tall radar arch.

I also provided the link to their site.

An Achilles LT1 fits perfectly on top of my 2003 22 cruiser. The size and weight of the LT makes it possible to place it on the cabin top without help. An inverted placement on the cabin top and over the radar dome makes for a secure, snug fit. The radar sees right through it. It is tied down with straps to the cabin top rails.

Hello Mike,

I wasn't able to find an LT1 on internet search. Would that be equivalent to the currently available LT2?

We carry an LT-4 on Valkryie's roof with no problem. The LT-4 is 8' 6" long and weighs 56 pounds. When anchored we get it (usually just me) aboard from the foredeck. The LT-4 also slides right under the tall radar arch. We have a number of pics of it in our album, pages 3-5 I believe. Keep in mind that having it overhang a bit doesn't hurt. Ours fits even with the canvas up.

Hope this helps,

Nick

I too needed to know this so I dragged Adeline over to my inflatable dealer and threw a couple of Achilles onto the roof.
Here are some images of the Achilles LSI88 (270). 88 is 8'8" and 77 is 7'7".

And here is the LSI 77 (230) that I ultimately selected.

Finally, some more inflatable related pictures.

mflam,

The tall top doesn't make a difference, except that the inlfatable has to be carried inverted, which is what we do as Valkyrie is a tall top model.
