rocket launchers for 22 Cruiser

Hang on for a week, Jim. My rocket launchers was ordered on speculation. I have a tall top version and if it doesn't fit a tall top, you can get the quantity price and immediate delivery.

I'll know about 15 minutes after FedEx delivers it. Ron's check is on it's way and   I got a call yesterday from Elco to come by and get the "Jenny B."

Don of Sneaks,
Hi Don,
I also have a 22' cruiser tall top. I hope it does not make a difference if the 22 cruiser is a regular or tall top. I think the rear of the top is the same on either model. My boat has a 1 3/4" flat area before the top starts sloping up and this does not include the slight ridge on the very rear ( to keep the rain from running over back). I cannot tell in the pictures what width of flat bar they used for the base in the fabrication process. I lot of guys don't like the looks of the extra height, but if you or any of you friends are 6'3" or taller you'll be glad on your choice. I think the tall cabin also give you a more open space feeling inside. Please let me know if this unit fits your new boat. I will post this on the rocket launcher thread, perhaps the other guys know what the width of the base (flat bar)is?
Jim, Work Release

Jim of Work Release, I was able to look at both the tall top and the default top side by side at Elco Marine last week, and from a visual standpoint, the vertical angle is the same on both, though the length is greater. I'm hoping I won't even have to relocate the cabin light. The "bow" from port to starboard is exactly the same, so I'm pretty sure it will fit. Nevertheless, feces occurs, so you might still wait until mine arrives and I can give you a firm yea or nay.

I totally agree about how just those few inches make a huge difference in perceived spaciousness.

Actually, it's Don of the Jenny B or Sneaks of the Jenny B. I was given that Sneaks nickname in the late '80's back when I ran a CP/M BBS here, and it stuck. Long sneaky story but it resulted in a lot of local Sysops getting low priced high speed modems.

Ron,

Just received my launcher, yesterday and it fit's perfect. Will post a picture at TOPKICK album soon, We ordered the inserts from West Marine, Number 360354 which fit perfect inside and over lap the edge and are made of rubber. For anyone wanting to order, I have a 2004, 22 cruiser normal top.

Thanks for all your help,

Topkick, I looked at your album. Nice job--Do you see a problem with your canvas top? Are those solar panels on your roof?

Thanks Randy

Randy,

No problem with the canvas top, Canvas snaps in the front of the Launcher. My canvas has a zipper in the middle that goes half way so I can open and reach the Launcher at any time from any side.
Yes the solar panels are mounted to the top with through bolts.

Ron,
The cost of the inserts will shock you at $9.99 each, But the Fishing pole butts are more if you have to replace them. The inserts cover the lip and 1 inch down, should protect the rods.

Sorry to bother you, but the WM description suggests that it is an end cover. Does it in fact go inside of the tubes, and how far. Perhaps you could post a photo of the insert by itself. Thanks Bill...Regards.....darn you make a good job look even better. :wink

Ron,
It is an end cover and goes down 1 inch, You can also get the insert from WM, but I feel the insert is not needed as the pole rests on the rubber lip.

Ron,
If you purchase the liner kit WM# 114605 you will have to split the liner the same as you did on the PVC pipe.

The launchers arrived and an hour later they were installed, they are beautiful! Thanks again Ron.
I used 1 1/2" Sched 40 PVC, did a kerf cut with my jigsaw, it took two passes with a thin blade and they were perfect.
Installed them with rubber washers on exterior between launcher base and roof, to prevent leaks.

Can't wait to use them! C-Dory owners are the best, esp Ron

Well, guys, 3 of the launchers made it...2 positive responses so far on their application/satisfaction. I hope that the other 2 work out as well for you all. Best to you all. Ron

Here's another positive response. It does fit a "Tall Top". An extremely minor issue, the angle at each end does not match the increased vertical side angle presented by the tall top. I'm definitely not gonna lose any sleep over it since it would only be apparent to a real stickler for accuracy.

Gracias, Ron
