Hello,
I have just joined the group and have been looking at some of the ads of boats that are listed For Sale and have discovered from reading through the Posts that some of the boats have been sold. Is there not someone that can monitor the ads and remove the ones that are no longer relevant. It would be easier for the poster to take them down, but I guess that they either forget or overlook doing so. It is frustrating to see a boat that you may want to buy only to find it sold some time ago.

As far as I know, it is the seller's responsbility to update their posting

..from the 'Boats for Sale' forum:
" Ads are automatically deleted after 60 days of no followups. Please post a note once boat has been sold."

Boats marked sold by the seller are moved to an archive so they can be seen for historical purposes. If someone doesn't mark it sold or if there is no activity for 60 days (or is it 90?) it just disappears forever. I think.

Nerds, correct me or confirm please?

Thanks, Charlie

I will never put my boat for sale on here upon hearing that if I forget to remove the advertisement, it will disappear. SCARY!!!!

BTW, how do I report that to the insurance company?
