Reduction of C-Dory Warranties

I am of the understanding that the previous C-Dory hull/boat warranties of 5 years are being reduced to either 2 or 3 years. Anyone heard any more about this?

This is the first of heard of this - where did you hear this? Certainly, they can't reduce the warranty on previously sold boats.....

It can't - our boats were sold with a 5 year hull warranty, and that is what we will get. They can reduce it for new sales however.

This would be on new purchases. I don't see how a company could change the terms of previous purchases.

A perfect example of how the factory is likely to benefit by monitoring, and interacting with the C-Brat site.

This thread (rumor?) hit the air at 1737 Sunday, and was put to rest by Scot at 1957.

It is obviously unreasonable to expect the president of the company to reply to every issue within 2 hours, especially on a weekend. OTOH, by having -someone- respond within a 'reasonable' time frame, we all avoid a lot of consternation, hand-wringing, bad vibes, etc.

Thanks, Scot!

Ditto! :thup

Thanks Scot!

Is the warranty transferrable or is it only good for the original owner? I just bought a 2006 TC255 that was sold to the original owner by Y-Landing and now to me this weekend.

I guess it's something I should have checked before I bought it but I kinda figured if it had had a problem it would have surfaced by now...
