Really?

merv got the post link right. its the entrance to cape sante. the thing that i learned from the post and the commits is that if you have cross linked fuel tank you need to close the valve that links them if you go around or haul over to one side. In this case the starboard side tank over filled from the port tank and caused a hose clamp to bust lose and spill 200 plus gallons into the bilge. the pump did not come on so the spill did not leave the boat and cause worse damage to the area. there is always some thing to be learn while laughing at others.

The same thing happened to the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Long Beach, CA

I saw a video clip some time ago of the same President on one of his boats (don't think it was the same boat) hitting a dock straight on (ie: at a head on into the dock).

Ouch :x ...that's gonna hurt...his wallet. Gotto love the title: "Whikey Tango Foxtrot".

And those guys w/ the Jeep are awesome! Thanks.

That reminds me of the time we had an Admiral, a General, and a neurosurgeon (army trained) help shoehorn a 389 Cadillac engine into the Allard J2 in our garage. The cardiac surgeon just gave directions. Like the other three really listened! I am sure in their minds it looked just as precise as the youtube video. LOL

I can't make fun of anyone who has run aground. I have done it. :cry

I love the comments on the thread that Merv linked above relating to the name of the boat - "Lonesome Loser". I wonder how many people think how stupid a name will look if and when their boat is grounded prior to naming it.

I've been thinking of naming the TomCat "Meant to Be" but that will look damn stupid if I run aground or drop it off the trailer on the highway or a ramp. Maybe I should go with "Not my fault".

Roger,

I don't know about the name of the boat but... (don't ask 'cos you know already) when $#1t happens just tell the trooper, "It was all going fine until the tide went out". This at approx 100' above high water outside a Navy CPO club.

Maybe I have a Guiness book of records event for grounding a boat :-)

The only good thing about it was that I gave one hell of a laugh to a bunch of young kids going to war.
