Sure is windy in coastal NC today.
I rode the Neuse River Ferry this AM and the waves were really big. Ferryman said it was blowing 45 MPH but the Captain of the Ferry had told him he had measured one gust of 70 MPH.
All I know is that when I got home I went down to check on Sea Baby. The north wind is really blowing the water out of Coffee Creek. So much so that I measured the depth and it was only 2 feet. That's 3 feet of difference from yesterday morning.
Needless to say I slipped the lines a bit and definitely will not be taking Sea Baby anyplace today!
