HELP.
I have run out of helm space in Sea Angel.

Has anyone found a source for a mount , or adapter, to locate
the Keypad on the support bracket to the C80 Display which is
suspended from the shelf. I believe this would enhance the keypad's
functional use with the display.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Is it the remote for the autopilot that you want to mount?

Roger,
Thanks for placing the link on the thread. I still have not mastered that
function  .

Yes, that is the unit I recently purchased to hopefully make it as easy
as the GARMIN to enter WP information into the list without having to
"spin-the-wheel" for the characters.

The down side to having both the GARMIN 2006C and the Raymarine C80
is the the realestate they take.

Wow, didn't know they made that Raymarine accessory. Looks useful. I use RayTech RNS on my MacBook (using Windows XP under VMWare Fusion).

If you're comfortable letting your co-pilot (First Mate) make changes on your C or E Series Raymarine while underway, Here's a remote keyboard with 10 key pad included.

I just looked at the info on the keyboard and it looks like it is designed
only for the "E" series displays. It is also $500 verses $200 for the
keypad. That aside it does look like a better plan.

The "C" series [2004 C80] does have a Seatalk2 port on the back of the
display, so it may very well work. Unfortunately, I already bought the
keypad, maybe I should have checked further when I was at WM and
Boater's World, plus the Raymarine site.

I think with a piece of AL metal that allows for the mounting of the keypad
and formed with a right angle to allow the C80 display's right side
mounting knob to support it, this may work. The Seatalk data cable supplied with the keypad is just long enough to reach the C80 port and the 'pad has a loop thru function( 2-connections).

Thoughts?

Dreamer and Warren----

I have installed the keypad today and it works better than I thought it
would. The C80's 4-way switch for controlling the curser remains active
while the 4-way switch on the keypad is used for editing the text info for
the waypoints. I no longer have to "spin-the-dial" to get the characters
and I can step thru the edit process in less than half the time I did before.

It is a shame that Raymarine did not include this feature on, or with, the
displays, as did GARMIN; but real estate being what it is I suppose this
was the best approach.

A sample group of 4 pixs are in my 'UPGRADES' folder.
