Nice blog. WOW you guys put on some miles. That is a beautiful drive, and your Dixon crossing looked perfect. Just wondering if you guys need anybod to come and bait your hooks or carry the suitcase :lol: :lol: Just in case, but I can't come for a couple more years --- that w@*k thing. I wll be following the blog, and making notes for my retirement trip. Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff, Russ. The grocery store up the hill in Petersburg has a van and they'll drive you back to the docks after you buy groceries. No charge. At least that's how it was last summer. They've got a better selection and lower prices than the grocery store in the main part of town.

Very nice blog; thank you. One thing that jumps off the page for me is how little you pay for slips with power in the PNW. Our Marinaut is 24 feet long, and we can pay $4.50 per foot and in addition, $10 to $15 per night for 30 amps. Some marinas have us pay a minimum 25' charge, and another has a 30' minimum. If we go out during the week, we can get slips for around $65 a night. Yeh -- we are whacked nearly everywhere. We live in Connecticut, and it is absolutely the worst place to live in retirement in the U.S. with respect to taxes.

You must leave that boater unfriendly place as soon as you are able, we have plenty of slips and anchorages in Washington and Alaska.

Thanks for the reminder about the blog. Fun to follow along. Fly fishing and sulpher bathing. good thing there were showers "elsewhere". I love hot pools but sometimes the smell depletes the pleasure some.

I have not kept track of my covered miles but I have almost the same number of hours on my twins as you have. (689) Don't think I have as many miles, not even close.
