Raising the Cabin Floor on the C25

I raised the floor on my C25. Photos and description is under the boat name "Maseda", or can be found under topic C25 vs C22
 
Although I can understand that there may be several reasons to raise the floor, I wonder why you did yours?

I lowered the area under the "high roof" in my last 27 (actually already done and I improved on it.

If you are using the under floor for storage, then I would worry about water intrusion...which is a real problem on some C Dory 25's
