r 25 bridge clearance

Tom,
I don't believe it will clear. Tuggin wiped out his anchor lite on a bridge. He had the mast cut down to clear the bridges around Boca Raton. It would be so close it would not pay to risk it. Waves or wake make it tighter.

Doesn't the mast on the R 25 fold down for bridge clearance and towing, or is it still 12 ft or so with the mast folded down?

The Ranger 24 tug we saw trailered on the Delta had the mast folded to the side and down. The standard road bridge clearance is 13 1/2 feet on the road. This should equate to more than a 12 foot bridge clearance on the water.

The mast does fold down but is not a simple process underway especially for my back. Also, when I was looking at covered slips many had 12 or less clearance. Prior to relaunching my boat after bringing back to Tennessee I measured from top of upright mast to estimated water line and got 12 ft 2 inches. This was measured while still on trailer so there is some room for error.
