questions regarding a newer c-dory

Greetings,
New owner and a 2005 22 footer with a few questions here. I just picked up a the boat yesterday and I a trying too get her cleaned up and ready to use. I need to find a replacement bulb for the overhead cabin light and could see no markings on the bulb for type any ideas as to type and a place to find one? I also noticed that I have a problem with the lights on the trailer. There is water in what seems to be a sealed unit, the lights work but are faint on just one side. I investigated the unit and found noway to open it or remove the moisture. The system is different then the old style I am familiar with a lense cover and a bulb you can replace this seems to be l.e.d. or something like that so I guess the question is do I need to replace the entire unit? Thanks for any help. Dan McNally.
 
Hard to say on the light bulb Dan. The factory could have used any number of mfrs lights. Your best bet is to take the bulb with you to an auto parts store and have them match it with a new one. Shouldn't be hard. While you're at it, buy a couple of extra ones.

As for the trailer, that's also a tough nut without knowing exactly what kind of lights you have. Some of the newer ones are LEDs not sure if they're replacible or not. Probably easier to replace the whole assy, they're not expensive. You can get those at the same auto parts store. I'd do both lights while I was at it.

Hi Dan,
The bulbs on the 22 are the same as the 25.
P/S Running #70 15W
Anchor #90 7.5W
Interior #1004 12 W

You don't say what kind of trailer you have. If it is a King the brake lights are standard LED. I am not sure about replaceing or taking them apart.
 
You should be able to get the light for the cabin just about anywhere. Try the automotive section at Wally World or Autozone etc. pop one out and take it to the store.
If you have water in a sealed trailer light and can't get it open, you could drill a little hole in the bottom to let the water out, and seal it up with a small stainless screw with abit of silicone on the threads. As long as the screwsize and hole are sized so the threads will grip the plastic it should work fine. If it gets water in again just remove the screw and reseal after it drains.
 
The LED assemblies on Pacific trailers are replaceable as a plug in unit only. At least those guys set it up so you don't have to wire the new unit into the harness. It's rare to get a leak, but feces occurs....
