I'm re-powering my 22' Cruiser with a single Honda 90hp. Wondering what prop pitch others have on a single 90hp and what pitch would be best all around.

If you are at Sea Level then 15" prop is what I have used with the Honda 90. At 3800 feet you probably will drop down 2" To 13" pitch, and at Yellowstone (7500 feet 11") You may use up one inch of pitch on the higher elevations, if you run a light weight boat. You want the WOT RPM to be in the 5800 (up to 6000) RPM; no lower than 5500 RPM. Your WOT speed should be about 30 mph in an average weight 22.

WOT ?

WOT = Wide Open Throttle. Engine specs will always list a maximum RPM range and your prop should be sized to keep the engine within that range when wide open.

If I may butt in with a related question: How do I tell what is the pitch on my motor? I also have a Honda 90.

Roamad, it is the pitch on the prop, not the motor.
SSOBOL has a 13 1/2" diameter prop. The pitch is 15". In other words, one rotation of the prop and the prop travels 15" forward. The diameter and pitch should be stamped on the prop that you have. As has been discussed look at your owners manual and it will most likely tell you what rpm your motor should reach at Wide Open Throttle, WOT. I know that most of us do not run our C-Dory at WOT, but you want to be able to determine if you have the correct prop by doing so. If you don't know if your motor is propped correctly, pick a flat water day and operate at WOT with an average load that you run on your boat.
