Proposal for a St.Andrews Bay Rendezvous (PC FL)

I know there are a few CD's and Tugs around Bay County Florida and some at a short distance. Not like distance would stop a C-Brat...Anyway, I would like to explore the idea of either a one day or weekend to get together in St. Andrews Bay (Shell Island, East Bay, West Bay, etc.). Nothing too fancy just some brats to agree to meet and cruise around. We moved from inland to Callaway Bayou right across from the city boat ramp if anyone is interested to do an interim visit shoot me an email. Also, any brat that is cruising the ICW is welcome to take a detour and rest at our place (you can spot Sandpiper on the dock), there is fresh water and 30A available. Just let us know.

We'd be interested in a rendezvous in the area. We are cruising the St John's river this month but we keep the boat at the PC marina. Maybe in spring or fall?

You probably know that there is the fantastic gathering at Apalachicola hosted by Marc Grove in Wefings. This is the end of Oct. It begins on Friday Night, but we usually get there a day early, with a few others to help set up. The last event is Breakfast on Sunday AM. Folks come from all over the US/including AK to this event. Often we stop at Panama City Marina on the way to and from.

Is there a town near by for a point of reference? Since a lot of us are a long way from knowing Florida county locations. Thank You
D.D.

As a point of reference I would say that Panama City or Panama City Beach would get your Google map in the right location. Yes, there is a gathering in Apalachicola...I am just trying to at least get some local folks interested in meeting and perhaps make it a recurring event thruout the year. Maybe short cruises to Port St. Joe, Shell Island, Destin, or even just local marina restaurants. Of course, anyone from out of town would be welcome.

The C brat map shows 3 other C Dory's in the Panama City area. You can contact those directly if you want to start "gatherings". The C Brat map may not be up to date. So there may be other, C Dories, or even less.

Good luck.
