I purchased one 2 years ago. I was curious how much they have appreciated. My price was 47.5K with anchor & chain & electonics. I did
put in another 4K for misc upgrades. added 2nd battery, downriggers and other misc equip. If anyone has an idea of replacement I would appreciate it. Thanks Deano

Your boat has not appreciated. I think what you are asking is how much would your boat, rigged as you have it, cost today, two years later.
Probably the best way to find that out would be to ask a dealer to give you a quote, using as much of your equipment as he can.

One would need more details (trailer, electronics particulars, etc.), but my sense is what you purchased would now cost over 50K. Two interesting but opposing variables come to mind: 1. I would think boats would cost more in AK due to shipping, and 2. I've noticed a lot more unsold inventory, leftover 2007's, etc. in the past few months. I know your vessel will depreciate less and re-sell more readily than almost any other used boat out there. Cheers! Mike.

The words appreciate and boats are not ever used together....if you don't want people to look at you funny....and laugh.
..... your C-Dory is in a special category enjoyed by very few boats...like Boston Whaler and Nordic Tug.... while they all depreciate, the rate of depreciation is far less than others... much slower... And never trust a "blue book" value....it is WAY low for our boats.

For me .....I don't care what the boat costs... I bought what I wanted...and that is priceless.... actually I originally wanted a 25' but my wife said why not buy a 22'', keep it 2 years and if you still want a 25' , move up....that was fours years ago and I am still very happy with the 22 and glad I bought it first.... (sometimes she does make sense..I like her too) If I wanted a new one, I would buy it....but I don't....

Hey? I know boats that are worth more today than when they sold new.
Grand Banks is a good example. the 36 and the 42 that are 20 years old are still worth the money. And I am sure there are probably a lot more that retain their value. When the price of fiberglass went up so did the price of some used boats. My old 1972 45 ft. Chris Craft sold for more in 1990 than when new. .....................Course thats not counting all the maintenance money and electronic upgrades over the years. I guess it would be a poor investment................ But who's counting?

Now about that bridge, where was it located again?
