power outages, extension cords and generators.

Art, what type of gen set did you get and how expensive was it. we are thinking of going that way as we have natural gas at the house. Any brand you would not use ?

StarcraftTom. I actually do know how to fish Stripers but not in Georgia. Come to Virginia in December and we'll go fishing in the Chesapeake bay for 40# plus stripers! :D

Dave, Suburban is and has been a shady company. I had friends who worked there and the thing they made the drivers do. Not picking up tanks, topping off tanks that were not even half empty when the customers did not want then topped off just to name a few. That's why it was so easy to get people to switch out. They would keep your tank full so they could use that as an excuse not to remove it. Tell you that the gas was theirs until it went thru the valve and I could not pump it out. sorry but the tank is Suburbans and the fuel is the customers. I can pump the fuel in to my tank anytime I want and return the tank to suburban. Suburban would even try to charge the clients for tank removal when I did the work. hell one of there drives topped off 4 tank on one street that I had changed out 6 week before. Those guys got free gas that day.

Tom after the less than cordial visit to their office and my severing service with them, I was at home when I heard a truck in my driveway. Similar to what you stated above there was not just one driver but two of their drivers about to attach their fill hose to the tank to fill the tank. I tromped out there and told them that I was no longer a customer of theirs, they were not to fill the tank and to cease the operation immediately. They both looked at each other as if they hadn't a clue that I had severed my relationship with their company. Likewise I was told that the propane remaining in the tank belonged to them at which point I ran them off the property. My new company delivered a new tank pumped the remaining propane out of Suburban's tank and moved it to the other side of the driveway. The fuel rates from the new company are still less than Suburban's.
