Posting pictures

Well, it's winter here in Nevada...can't do much to the boat right now so it's time to put some pictures out there. Since I haven't done this before can someone provide me with the steps to post a bunch of pictures. Really enjoyed the Seattle Boat Show Saturday, wish we could have attended the dinner at the factory. Next year for sure!

If you have not requested a photo album, you need to do so. Send a request to the site administrators, and they will fix one up for you. From there you need to go to the album actions drop down and select 'add photos'. If you are shooting high resolution photos, you may need to save them in a smaller format in order for the site to accept them.

How do you post pictures in the forum threads? Like, as in a reply?

This is the usual question of the week, repeated weekly, answered weekly, hopefully not to weakly this go around!

Try the following threads: (If one is unable to give you a full understanding, read some of the others, eventually the :idea will brighten!

Once I was going to suggest a site index with links to this kind of stuff. Then I remembered we already have Joe :teeth

Bill (Da Nag) and I once discussed setting up some FAQ's. Kinda let it slide, thinking these types of repetitive questions 1) provide a lot of volume for the site, 2) allow new members to get acquainted with everyone, and 3) get specific answers to their questions.

Maybe there are a few like this, however, that do warrant some serious consideration of setting up some sort of links to our collective wisdom on file!

Then too, the collective thoughts of several threads are usually much more thorough in answering a question than any one go-around.

Another, more recent consideration, is that our total volume of posts is getting very hard to read on a daily basis. Most members are probably forced to pick and choose a lot. Setting up some FAQ's or something similar would reduce the volume somewhat.

I'm bringing this back up because one of our newer members asked me in an email how to post pictures with their messages, and periodically we have new members that wonder how to do it.

So if this is of interest to you, go back to the beginning of this thread and get the full message!

Let me know if there are problems or questions!

TIME TO REVIEW THIS PROCESS AGAIN FOR ANOTHER MEMBER AND PROBABLY SEVERAL OTHERS! REMEMBER, NO ONE EXPLANATION ABOVE IN THE THREADS LINKED WORKS FOR EVERYONE, DEPENDING ON WHICH TYPE OF COMPUTER YOU HAVE AND YOUR SKILLS, BUT ONE SHOULD TURN YOUR :idea :idea :idea ON!!!

Just bringing this thread up for review for any new or older C-Brats that want to review how to include photos in their posts.

The references I made on about the fourth post reviews all the major postings on the topic, I believe.

Seems we need to review this information about every 4-6 months.

Photo and other illustrations liven up a topic and make it more interesting!
