Portland (Oregon) Boat Show

Will any of you all be at the Portland boat show tomorrow (Thursday, 1/11)? We will be up there about noon to wander around for a couple of hours.

I don’t see Sportcraft on the exhibitor list so there probably won’t be a C-Dory display but I’m sure we can find something interesting.

I'm going to go take in the aluminum bloom later in the day, probably about 3-4. If you stop by that fishing outfit's booth tell them I need a big raise :)

We are planning to boat for he weekend but if the weather forecast gets much worse, we may end up down there Friday on our way south to other pursuits.

Mike I wish you would have posted this earlier. I have a commitment now. Maybe next year we should have some kind of a mini get together.

You are right, my apologies. It was kind of a last minute guess as to the day.

We did a Portland BS CBGT a couple times. I think the first or second ever event photo album on here is from the first one. The show is short this year at only four or five days. I’ll report back on it later.

We are running a little late so we could still be there at 3:00, Ken. Give them diesel kids an early homework assignment and take off early. Lois and I will be sporting the C-Dory jackets so we will be easy to spot. Figured somebody oughta represent the brand.

We got here and will likely be here until after 4:00 so look us up Ken. You have my phone number. Parking is eight bucks but you can print out a two for one ticket coupon and save ten bucks on M. Coupon is on PBS web site.

WOW, Mike, I like the idea of a Portland Boat Show CBGT. I had looked at going down this weekend, but thinking I might put the boat in the water on Sunday. Need to re hydrate the gel coat. (Well with salty H2O, not that gravity affected, heaven to earth, transition stuff.)

This was the only sign of C-Dory in the whole place, but we did our best to represent the brand.

Btw, that’s a Cutwater behind us. At least the region had a presence. Figured Ranger Jeff would appreciate it.

And, it looks like you are hangin in a good neighborhood. Great pix and a good background. Good to see you getting out. And it's even on a "work" day.

sorry Mike, I was unable to make a clean break from my capturers and didn't make it to the show, gonna try today, I know I can make it over the fence but they had the damn dogs out yesterday, I'm going to bring some meat to throw at them today

A nice Eastern 27 with an unusual layout plus a few neat Jeanneau models like the NC 795 and 895.

We blew through in a couple of hours and are down in CA on the coast to hike for the weekend now.

I went last week and visited the Englund site and bought some crabbing stuff but had no interest in the expensive aluminum boats and the wake boats so got through it pretty fast. Walk by the concession booth and would swear I saw hot dogs for $11.20.
