TO All
Tom's Aunt Sheila (and mine) is dieing of ALS which is Lou Gehrig's disease. Her condition has significantly worsened from last year. Most patients live only for 2-5 years after being diagnosed. This year she is wheel chair bound, can no longer talk, or write as her hands are balled up and can no longer hold her head up on her own.
However she will participate with us in the Sept 25th Walk for ALS, and with most of our family. Through this event Tom and I are raising money for the ALS Portland chapter where my aunt lives. This chapter has provided countless medical services, ( including a wheel chair), medical devices and emotion support for Sheila and our family.
If you would like to help us with a donation we have a team website set up through the ALS organization where you can donate on line. Or you can send Tom and I an email and we can send you an address to send a check.
