The Port of Everett in Everett, Washington issues an annual Senior Citizen Boat Launch pass that allows at no charge the following....

"A. The pass allows for unlimited use of the facility, MONDAY through FRIDAY each week, on a year round basis".

"B. Use of the facility by pass holders on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS is subject to regular boat ramp fees".

"C. Overnight parking fees must be paid when parking overnight on a FRIDAY or SATURDAY night from Memorial Day weekend through the end of September".

(The Port of Everett defines senior citizen as sixty (60) years of age or older).

In order to obtain the pass which is affixed inside the windshield of your tow vehicle, go to the Port of Everett Marina Administration Office at 1720 W. Marine View Drive, Everett, Wa.

I've known about this privelege for several years, but until today I kept forgetting to go in and pick one up.

Oh, and Tom (starcraftom) you and your lovely bride are way too young to qualify for this benefit. :cry

Dave- I have a current Port of Everett Marina sticker on the windshield. Does this allow free use of the ramp? Frankly, I really don't mind the $5.00 ramp fee for this excellent facility.

Yes Marty, it allows you to launch and park overnight with the conditions of use that is indicated in the direct quotes above from their operating and policy procedures.

I too have never minded paying $5 for such a premier facility. Until today, I didn't realize that during the week, free overnight parking was included. So, potentially, there is a tremendous savings.

Sounds like a deal for us "seniors" - what is the charge for the senior pass? Unfortunately, we usually use Everett on weekends, but like you and Marty, I have always viewed the $5 charge as a good deal any way you slice it for such an awesome facilty.

The "charge" is free......Just go to the office, show your drivers license and provide them with the license plate number of your tow vehicle. If you read the quotes in the initial posting, you'll see that not only is it a free launch on weekdays, but also free night parking on weeknights during the peak season and free night parking all nights on off peak season.

Hey Dave its a good thing me and the old man have the same name. besides I will just walk slower and slump over with that " I'm waiting for the end to come" look just like all you old guy's
