Pictures with big, black bars

Hi Brats,
Maybe it is me and my limited computer skills, or some Gremlin in the bowels of my PC, but has anyone been plagued by big, black bars that cover parts of pictures in the recent postings?
When I try to view postings of albums, very often pix are partly masked by black lines (narrow to wide) across the photos. This seems to happen much more than it ever has, starting about a month ago (maybe?) If I run the scroll wheel up and down across the pix, it often disappears--but sometimes not. If not, then I need to refresh the file a couple of times and that usually gets rid of the black band.
Is my PC sinking into the mire of obsolescence and planned decay, or have other Brats seen this, too?
Thanks,
Rod

No, but I confess that when I saw the subject line I read it as "big, black BEARS." Very relieved those babies are not crawling across my screen (or, yours).

Mighty disappointed by the reality!

I have been having the same problem but it is also appearing in other places besides here. I'm pretty sure it is my browser as it started happening since the last update. I am using Firefox.

OK fellow C-Brat Geeks.....WAKE UP... it is Monday...and we gotta Brat or two that needs some help here. You have a purpose today!!!

OK.... I got the message on mine that my virtual memory was too low. Well, I have to confess....I have had CRS for years.... (Can't Remember S..stuff).... but now my computer realises it. I am sure it has nothing to do witht this lap top being about 4 years old, and holding about 4,000 digital pics... so...playing with taking this to a local geek shop and booting the DDR and Hard Drive limits/capacities....or..... just move on to a newer, faster, lighter, better battery laptop...

Good luck the the pics of the bears. :thup

Looking forward to some responses...and I know we are about to get some feedback on Mac vs the others...and operating systems... but,, I do look forward to checking back in after most have come alive and given feedback.

All,

You might try deleting all your temporary internet files. They can build up to be a heavy load on your system.

Some would say clear your cache.

Go to internet options and depending on your operating system there is an option for doing that.

Good luck,

Capt Dan

Check for new video drivers matched to your video graphic chip. You can adjust the screen resolution, refresh rate and color depth in the Control Panel then Display then Settings
