picking a new dog in the future

What we seem to have is, uh, the little known carpet pooper on-er of Tibet, sweet but dumb as a post.

Baxter, the "Samurai Tongue" dog, is of the Lovebug variety, Pat. He need not know more than the fact he is indulged and will continue to live in comfort in spite of his occasional peccadilloes.

It could be worse. Joey, our Mini Schnauzer is the consummate "terror" 'scuse me, "Terrier". He has no fear and will protect the house, the front yard, the sidewalks, the neighbor's cars and the airspace up to 1000 ft. of "his" window to the world. Ravens drive him nuts....

OTOH, like Baxter, he sports a huge "Lovebug" gene and has mellowed considerably from the weeks following his rescue center release and obedience class.

Salty is a Drathaar (pronounced drat - haar), or more commonly here in the US, a German Wirehaired Pointer.

Huh? I thought that was a Hippy Hound. You gotta admit, he looks like half the population in Berkeley.

If I had one, he'd be named Chong. Or Brock...touch choice.

Careful, dude. I was born in Berkeley, had an aunt who worked 20 years for the city council, a mom who worked at UC Berkeley and Brother Dearest who graduated from UC Berkeley.

All before you were a glimmer in the eyes of a couple of wannabe hippies living in Pacheco near the racetrack....

:smiled

Don

But I do agree that Brock somehow fits....
