Photos for brochure

We are looking for newer shots of our boats to be used in a new brochure that we are working on. Both interior and exterior shots would be appreciated. Send us your favorite photo and maybe it will make you famous! Pictures can be either a high quality digital file or on film. We are leaning toward putting all of the C-Dory's in a single brochure rather than individual fliers. Any comments? Yes, all of the boats will have a correct line drawing in the brochure and on the website. Any other input that you would like us to consider?

Thank you,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Is this a contest like all those others here at the pub where B~C Ken offers up the prize which is always at someone elses expense? At any rate you should get a lot of interest from those of us that enjoy your and our boats. Are you interested in boats which have none factory interior items? One of the things I've always enjoyed about C-Dory is that they are sort of like a blank canvas just waiting to have the rest of the picture applied. Also do you need some sort of release with the photos or would that come later if you decide to use them.

Thanks, Tim

Excellent idea!

You probably aren't looking for pictures of my boat, unless you're publishing a nostalgic edition of the brochure.

A lot of us are looking forward to the updated web site. It was my first source of info on your boats back in the early 00's, and it hasn't changed a whole bunch since then. We do understand how busy you have been, and even more so recently, and trust that you'll be able to free up a nerd soon.

So, any truth to these TomCat redesign rumors we've been hearing lately??

Best of luck on all the goings on you have going on right now.

That photo of "Snoopy-C" should definetly be on the brochure, either front cover or back. You could also put a photo of the Red Fox discussing how much a C-Dory can be customized to fit an owner's needs, but then again with all the improvements Red Fox has undergone, you would need a whole extra brochure just to list them!

That's the right idea. Show a lot of pictures of all the variations of what people do with them -- sell the lifestyle, individuality you can customize to -- and the boat sells itself after that. From all the things I've gathered, we have people here that semi-livaboard, fish, hunt, prospect, charter, adventure cruise, day-trip, and those are just the first few that come to mind.

I like the idea of all the C-Dory models in one brochure.

Guess my question is whether you are ok with "stock" Boats or Some like ours and others with optionsadded ,i.e ,radar, arches, dinghys, etc?

Keep up the great work ,Jeff!

Hi, Jeff,

Since all of the photos from all 3 sites (C-DOGs, C-Brats, and Halcyon) can be easily downloaded, you may want to just pick and choose whatever you think might suit your brochure best. Right-click and save can get you all the pictures you might want, or need.

Nothing, as far as I know, is copyrighted. And if anyone had any objections to their photos being used commercially, I'm sure they could opt out.

I agree with some of the others and think some photos of some of our "experienced boats" would be truly in order. As well as some of the gathering photos.. I love the line drawings on the web site and wish we had line drawings of all the boats... the 16's, the 19, both the angler and cruiser of the 22, the TomCats... I spent hours printing them out and putting little scaled cut outs of coolers and "stuff" in them. The web site is great and has a lot of real good clean info on it. It does not take a lot of time to go from page to page and hope a brochure does not reduce the quality of the site. It is easy for me when talking to someone interested to just send them to the site.
We do not just buy these boats...W E U S E T H E M !!!
They are great, tuff, flexible use, and resale value holding boats. I can recall some nice aerial photos of James (Molly Brown) posted, but they have been chopped down for web site viewing. He more than likely has the full-blown version fitting for use in a shinny brochure. I plan to go out with another boat at my marina for some current shots of FreeByrd over the next couple of weeks for some nice fall sunset shots.

Definitely a single flier!

How about some shots of Costomized-C-Dorys in the back of it? Appeal to the imagination :!: 8)

Hi, Jeff,

Since these two websites (C-DOGs and C-Brats) are incredibly instrumental in convincing potential C-Dory wannabees to take the plunge, you might benefit from including references (and addresses) to both sites in your new brochure.

I've gotten a lot of feedback stating how our Owners Groups have convinced folks to buy C-Dorys.

The folks that visit these sites get the straight skinny, and since the accolades far outweigh an occasional criticism, you might want to consider mentioning us.

When you look at our combined memberships, coupled with the references that come up on various Internet searches, it might be worth looking into. When you look at the number of hits we get on our sites, we could be a pretty big marketing tool. For What It's Worth.

Good luck at the Seattle Boat Show. Would love to come, but San Francisco and Colorado Springs grandbabies call.

Ken

:) In case your still checking this one Jeff, I did send a few batches of sample pix on to you. I experience some very unreliable Email now and again up here in AK, so I wanted to make sure you know I did reply to your last Email. Hope they made it! Which ever ones you may pick... I may have to burn onto disc and mail it. Some full-res'-shots are way too large to Email there...

Jeff,

Thank you for the opportunity for all of us to contribute to C-Dorys' future success :thup. Please send a new post when the brochure is available for viewing.

Jon
