Pet Peeve

impatient folks, self centered, inconsidrate, oblivious folks arrrrg

reminds me of a story-
one winter I was headed from Klamath Falls to Baker via Lakeview for X-Mas. Got on the road to Burns at Riley junction and a big rig pulls right up my tail pipe. I was doing 70 in a 55 so I figured heck with, I'm holding at 70 and if he wants to kill himself trying to pass, so be it. For miles the psyco trucker from hell would come roaring up on my bumper...I could count the different types of bugs in his radiator...look to pass, and then drop back. Finaly just at the outskirts of beautifull Burns he passed me. As I got into town he was pulling off at a gas station, I thought "good riddance psyco trucker from hell" as I rolled on down the road and stopped at a store for more road snacks. As I was leaving the store, the psyco trucker from hell came roaring into the parking lot, locked up his brakes and slid to a stop next to my rig......I started to get a bit of an adrenal rush in preparation to give this psyco trucker from hell the Tony Lama treatment.

When he came boiling out that truck and made a mad dash to the portable crapatorium, it all made sense to me..I laughed my arse off......I hope that wasn't you Tom :)

Paint your wagon? As I recall, it was filmed at Sumptor

Edit: oh crap! That means I'm older than dirt. Maybe I was born under a "Wander'in Star".

ouch.....that's brutal

ya, paint your wagon..a durn good movie even to this day...I was just a kid but even for a kid, Baker was a hoping town then. I remember all of the local boat ramps were plugged by slow moving launchers (just trying to tie this to the original post)

most of the show was filmed up eagle creek north east of town, part of it was filmed by the anthony lakes ski area.

Have you ever been anchored, all by yourself, tucked in in a little quiet cove in the corner of a bay that would comfortably hold the entire Spanish Armada, and have someone drop anchor on top of you? Oh yes, they like LOUD music. GO AWAY!!!!!
