Parker Boats

thanks nice Parker and setup
If you compare Parker to similar style boats instead of a completely different boat, I thought the fuel burn rate is good. I have 4 stroke fuel injected OB with a 3 blade SS prop instead of a 4 blade (equivalent 4 wheel drive) and dont (maybe later) go out 40 -50 miles at 24 mph to fish and return the same day.
Yes you will burn a lot of gas and worth it if you return with a boatload of salmon, tuna, ...the big fish of the area
Many 2320 have 250 hp OB and I have a couple with a YAM
300hp
I know this boat gets better fuel mileage than the Renken with a V-6 inboard.
Parker and Renken when owned Renken are built from plans left by Noah

Brent you have a very good point on comparison. I guess I have a tendency to compare because the CD and Parker where the two options I was weighing before I upgraded from my old Bayrunner. Totally correct that they are not apples-to-apples on function so shouldn't be compared that way.

I used to run charter boats in southcentral Alaska and the various offshore models I ran then were burning more like 1MPG but were getting me places my CD will never see. So with the Parker, we couldn't have done what we did out of Juneau last spring in the CD in the time we had so we were happy to spend $800 in gas to do it. "Just takes money" as my dad would say. :teeth

I'll have to poke around for Renken/Noah. I am not familair with the longer history of the Parker line so this is a good tidbit.

My fuel bills are higher but we share the same TOE
total overall enjoyment

I will work on the fuel burn numbers in the future. I am thankful gas prices went down. June 30 it was 2.85/gal at the fuel dock. Right now we are just boating in local waters and short day trips

Renken went out of business and another company bought the name. We lost it after Hurricane Charley but before it needed motor, etc work. It came with the home. No great lost to me but took some time removing it and had assistance from a state of FL program in Charlotte County

Noah built the Ark in the Bible.
Trying to add a little humor

Love to see your pictures
This is an other major plus of the C Brats, lots and lots of outstanding pictures. Thanks for sharing

I was planning on a 250 Yamaha. They are getting over 2MPG here in the Gulf. I agree with you, Brent. I thought it was quite acceptable mileage for that boat.

New Parkers come with Yamaha OBs but some owners are repowering their older boats like a 2520 or 2350 with a Suzuki 250 4 stroke and matched to their boating needs SS prop
Some add twins!
