Our YouTube Channel - 2008 C-DORY 22

We have owned our 2008 C-Dory 22 since buying it brand new in 2008. It has proven to be one of our favorite purchases. We now travel full-time - Sprinter 4x4, International Travel (82 countries), and of course our CD22.

We've started a YouTube Channel a few months ago to share our travels and hopefully have correspondence with like minded folks

We did a video tour of our C-DORY and to our surprise - the video is by far our most watched.

So, if you have interest in watching some C-Dory videos - go to .

The plan is to do the Great Loop in 2022. That has been on the to-do list for a while.

It's been fun replying to the many C-Dory comments.

Are you going to do the loop in your 22?

I'd be very interested to follow that adventure. It's something I want to do.

Yes, the plan will be to do the Great Loop in our CD22. Should be a perfect boat for it. The boat currently is in the PNW - a few years ago we went up the Inside Passage to Alaska - which also was a lot of fun. We lived on the Great Lakes for many years also.

We may do the Great Loop all at once and at a good pace or break it up into multiple years. We love variety of travel and not to much of the same thing so we might just run the loop all at once over a short period of time. But we'll see.

Please follow along, would love to share our journey for sure. Enjoy your day!

Gaye and Robert,

You might get some insight into doing the Loop from our blog. The link is in the signature below! It was a great adventure for us, and I am sure will be for you as well.

But there is so much to see, FWIW, I think doing it fast would be a huge mistake. If we had do-overs, we would have given ourselves more time. We had a hard deadline to get back to Washington State for Christmas with our kids, which gave us 8 months. There were a lot of places where we would have enjoyed staying longer.

But whatever, just do it!

Thanks Pat & Patty - we will for sure check out your blog post for information. We were in NYC when you were doing the Loop and saw your boat when we were at the Statue of Liberty - at least we assumed it was your boat. Can't wait to give it a try.

Have a great Sunday!

Great U Tube channel and we love the way you did the conversion of the Sprinter. Thanks for sharing--and doing the "Open Road and Open Seas" Adventure!

When you do the loop, be sure to stop by Camp Thataway. We are on Perdido Bay, a little North of Orange Beach and the ICW. Get supplies, do laundry etc.

Thanks! We would LOVE to stop by Camp Thataway and say hi - you're the main reason we purchased the C-Dory in 2008 - your expertise convinced us. We will definitely be in touch when the time comes.

We love our C-DORY and our Sprinter build! Outside of business assets, our only 2 big items that we own.

Have a great day!

Subscribed. Watched a bit. Nice video work. We have different opinions about a rough crossing of Georgia Strait, but we get the idea. Thanks for sharing. I have limited access to I-Net right now but I will catch up and follow along.

Gaye and Robert, it will be fun to hear about your great loop cruise. I'd almost be tempted to hang along with you guys. But my bucket list was the Inside Passage, which I accomplished two years ago. And hoping to do the Erie Canal next summer. I had a desire at one time to do the Great Loop, but for whatever reason that desire somewhat fizzled. That's not to say that some day it doesn't rekindle. For those that are not aware, it was Gaye and Robert's boat that convinced me to buy a C-Dory. We were neighbors, and I spent a little bit of time talking to them about and looking at their boat. A decision I will never regret. So to the Meyer's, thank you, and continued safe travels! Colby

Hi Colby - Great to hear from you - hope all is well. I'm sure you're enjoying your CD25.

We did the Erie Canal on our CD22 and very much enjoyed it. I'd also highly recommend the Trent Severn Waterway - one of our favorites for sure.

Hope to see you along the way someday - we are always looking for that c-dory along the way (on the water or towed across the country).

I keep thinking someday our paths will cross again, at least domestically! I was looking at the Trent Severn one year, but it didn't pan out. Maybe in the future. Colby
