Kevin brought our Dory home last night (after a nine hour round trip  ) !

All I can say is WOW! She is much bigger and prettier than we imagined.

We posted pictures of her, now we just have to add all the goodies to her and get her water legal, then we will be ready to go. Oh yeah, we also have to come up with a name still! We are very open minded, so if anyone has ideas, throw them our way.

We love our Dory!!!!!!

Kevin and Randi,

Congratulations on the nice new family addition. Your address block says you have an angler. I have a question. It looks to me like what I have seen described as a commuter. It has the cabin size of the Cruiser, but seating for 5-6, no galley, (wallas or sink on the stbd side) and no aft bulkhead, (like the 19). From the photos, looks like you got a real deal. You have a longer cabin, than an angler I belive, and the easy walk through of the 19. May be the best of both worlds for you. Enjoy.

We have been trying to figure this out. The title just says C-Dory, and all the paperwork states Cruiser, but the man we purchased it from said Angler. We have been meaning to ask about this since we got it home.

What I see in your pictures is an open back Cruiser size cabin with the passenger seating.
There were only a few of this model made, that I know of.
The Angler has a shorter cabin with a larger cockpit area, while the Cruiser has the larger cabin and smaller cockpit area.

Your boat looks like a great fishing platform. Enjoy :D

Oh yeah. You have a limited edition for sure and I remember what the factory called that model. They only made a few of them. So loosen your collar and put on the mirrored shades because you have yourselves a Sport Cruiser. I think the first one came about because a customer requested it to use as a water taxi of sorts, but it looked pretty cool so they made a few more. Lots of possibilities and potential there. And fun!

Yes, that's a Sport Cruiser for sure! Did you get a canvas Alaska bulkhead with it? If not that would be one of my high priorities. That would be a great addition and extend the useful season! Or bag that and get a full camperback, and you would have one BIG room! A little Mr Heater Buddy would take the chill off too! But if fishing is the highest priority, an Alaska bulkhead would be just the ticket, fish your brains out, then go into a toasty cabin for a cup of hot coffee, what could be better? At least up here, maybe you don't have to worry about that in California. Congrats!

Thank you for the information because all the manual said was C-Dory 22' Cruiser. I have also searched on the C-Dory site to find info on the Sport Cruiser and have had no luck either. Is the Canvas Alaskan Bulkhead something that I have to get specially made or can I just give the description to a C-Dory dealer and purchase through them? Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Kevin & Randi Gray

Congratulations on finding a really nice fresh water boat.

A very unusual model for sure. You may want to think about trim tabs seeing the kicker, all that seating and you on the starboard side. Just a thought. The kicker could be switched also.
Enjoy your new boat. It is a beauty.

Jack

Thanks. Initially my wife and I were curious because we have not been able to find any other 22' Sport Cruiser. We have been looking on here for the last couple days trying to find another one that is all dressed up so that we could get some ideas. I'll be calling an upholstery shop this week to see about getting an Alaskan Bulkhead made.

Thanks,

Kevin & Randi
