Open Windows

We have a 19 Angler and love it. We live on a River in Eastern NC and the temps are in the 90's. Its really hot in the cabin even with all the windows open. We can't always go fast to cool off. Does anyone know of a kit we can get so we can open all the front windows?

Hello from Iowa.

We had a 22 Classic and replaced the front center window with one that opened and it helped immensely.

I have never seen a 19, but am under the impression that it is a shorter version of the 22, why wouldn't the same solution apply?

Take a look at; http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?p= ... 8ad964734d

There has been much discussion on windows, ask “Search the C-Brats”.

Since the 19 has the three windows in front, I would think that you could replace the center one with the opening version that is available on the 22. The windows are made by Diamond Sea Glaze in Canada and the factory could probably get you one if they don't already have one. Replacement should be a "simple" matter of removing the square headed screws, taking the frame out and replacing the whole shebang with the new window.

I'd call the factory and ask for Scott (360) 393-3283. He's a helpful guy and will tell you right away if you can do it. You could e-mail too but with this weather, time is of the essence.

It's hot here in Virginia too...

On edit: Just looked closely on the website about the 19 and they clearly say:''Diamond Sea Glaze windows with aluminum frames that are powder coated to match the color of the boat. Sliding side windows with screens and standard center opening window.

While it was obviously not "standard" at the time your boat was built, it is now and I bet it's a direct replacement to put one in...no cutting. Let us know how it works out.

I would think two opening ports mounted in the roof would be somewhat less costly. But the middle opeing window would be really nice.

Hi Folks,

I have a 22' Classic Angler. I cut a piece of wood that fits on my front hatch and leaves it open a crack. Cheap and it works. I cut groves to fit the forward bottom of the hatch and the upper edge of the bottom of the hatch.
