Looking great! I thought this was going to take you two weeks--not two days! Setting some new records on restoration / inspiration!

Must be nice to have a YC with a hoist, and a sailboat trailer, so you can work standing up!

HAHA no sailor takes 2 weeks.

Yes the YC is good for this kinda work. Taking her out tomorrow on maiden run. A buddy and me are going to put her through all the paces. Have flat water in morning and wind in the afternoon.

While I was doing the boat I have had the trailer revamped as well by adding plastic sleeves to the bunks. Re greased the bearings, checked the disc brakes and carpeted the side bunks.

I have also added new fenders, lines, safety equipment etc. She is a new boat. But she is not red so she will never live up to other boats in the Brats.

All ready to get out as often as possible. (PS the guy in the picture is not me)

Nice work Ranger. If I may ask, what type of antioxidant compound did you use? Did you use a buffer? I'm getting ready to do a deep clean, rub and wax in the next couple of weeks.

It is called Meguiars Marine RV Oxidation remover. Followed by the Pure wax. The oxidation bottle has a 49 on it and the wax a 56. Both blue bottles. I applies by hand and rubbed it in moderate hard. Then on the wax I hand applied let dry and buffed out. No machines. Good luck on your up coming job.

Well today was my maiden voyage on C-Hawk. Dropped her in the water from the YC crane went and picked up a buddy and spent 7 hours on the water with beer and food in glorious sunshine. Also caught 7 crab in the first 4 hours. Threw 3 Dungeness back (not big enough for BC) and kept 4 red rock's. 2 for dinner tonight 2 tomorrow. Life is good.

Howdy. Congrats on the new boat and all the new adventures to come. I will be running Thalassa back from Pedder Bay to North Saanich tomorrow so if you are on the water give us a hail on 16. Might make a stop at Constance Bank and drag the line for a hour on the way.
Cheers
Terry

Hey Terry I went out to Constance Bank today looking for you. I did hail on 16. I was out there from about 11:30 to noon.

Sorry I missed you. Was a great day on the water regardless.

Sorry I missed you, must of been a misread as today I will be out on a slow cruise. Leaving Sooke area around 9:30 and heading back to Sidney. Glad you had a great day and the way the weather is now it would be great to be out every day but the work thing gets in the way. I will try calling.
