1. woobie
A term of endearment (like "baby); someone who is so cute/sad/adorable you want to hug and comfort them.

I cant stand it when he cries, he is SUCH a woobie!

a furry little white dog, preferably a bichon frise. very cute, innocent, and evil at the same time
 
Not to belabor a dead horse, but all this goes along with what I said sometime back on another thread about the value of knowing each other as throughly as possible,
and that the "Profile" information and seeing each other at get-togethers helps us know each other well enough to know when someone's being serious or just being funny.

A minor point, but maybe significant.

Wouldn't want anyone to feel wounded in the woobie without cause.

My story doesn't include the word "cute", but we laughed hard about the incident. A few years ago we took our 22 cruiser to the Seattle area. One day we launched at the south end of Lake Washington for a cruise. At the end of the day, we hauled it out, and were prepping it to store it for a few days. A lifted 4 whl drive pickup parked next to us with a short cigarette style boat that obviously a tricked out big block for power. As they were cleaning it up, the guy's wife, girlfriend, etc. said to him "See that is kind of boat we should have bought. To which we said to her "Shut up!". No doubt the trip home was quite frosty, even though it was August.

lol. funny thing is even for water sports the C-Dory is nice. as my wife pointed out, on a ski boat you have no place to hide from the sun after being onboard for a couple hours. on the C-dory you can escape to the cabin for lunch or a nap :beer
