Almost all of the boats and exhibits have been moved into Qwest Field Event Center for the 59th Annual Seattle Boat Show and on Lake Union for the Boats Afloat Show…which opens this Friday (January 6) at 11:00 AM. It has been a challenging year for all our exhibitors and many out of town attendees with the date change due to the Seahawks playoff schedule.
I am excited to say that the show is bigger than ever. I just came back from Qwest Field and the show is starting to look like the largest boat show on the West Coast. Please visit www.seattleboatshow.com to get all the latest information on which boats will be at the show, lists of exhibitors and seminars, as well as all the exciting contests and prizes we will be giving away this year. As always, you will receive free parking when you purchase your e-tickets ahead of time online.
We still do not know when the show will close for sure. We are scheduled to run through 6:00 PM on Saturday January 14 but we might have to close one day early. Here's the situation: If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Washington Redskins this Saturday, then the Seahawks home playoff game will be scheduled for Sunday, January 15. If the Redskins win, then the Seahawks game will be scheduled for Saturday, January 14... forcing us to close the show early on Friday, January 13. We'll be watching the outcome of that game closely and as soon as we know if the show needs to close early, we'll send all of our e-ticket buyers an e-mail and post the information on our website.
Thanks for your understanding and patience. We are going to have a great Boat Show and I look forward to seeing all of you at Qwest Field and Lake Union starting this Friday at 11:00 AM.
