Subject: Seattle Boat Show opens in two days

Almost all of the boats and exhibits have been moved into Qwest Field Event Center for the 59th Annual Seattle Boat Show and on Lake Union for the Boats Afloat Show…which opens this Friday (January 6) at 11:00 AM. It has been a challenging year for all our exhibitors and many out of town attendees with the date change due to the Seahawks playoff schedule.

I am excited to say that the show is bigger than ever. I just came back from Qwest Field and the show is starting to look like the largest boat show on the West Coast. Please visit www.seattleboatshow.com to get all the latest information on which boats will be at the show, lists of exhibitors and seminars, as well as all the exciting contests and prizes we will be giving away this year. As always, you will receive free parking when you purchase your e-tickets ahead of time online.

We still do not know when the show will close for sure. We are scheduled to run through 6:00 PM on Saturday January 14 but we might have to close one day early. Here's the situation: If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Washington Redskins this Saturday, then the Seahawks home playoff game will be scheduled for Sunday, January 15. If the Redskins win, then the Seahawks game will be scheduled for Saturday, January 14... forcing us to close the show early on Friday, January 13. We'll be watching the outcome of that game closely and as soon as we know if the show needs to close early, we'll send all of our e-ticket buyers an e-mail and post the information on our website.

Thanks for your understanding and patience. We are going to have a great Boat Show and I look forward to seeing all of you at Qwest Field and Lake Union starting this Friday at 11:00 AM.

With warm regards,

Michael Campbell

Speaking of football... I don't watch much of it, but I decided to turn on the last quarter of the Rose Bowl just in time to see that Reggie Bush guy make the TD while flying through the air with the ball held inbounds. Sheesh he would make a good deckhand, no? Amazing.

How come the Rose Bowl wasn't on Sunday?

Hey Mike!

I think they spread the bowl games out this year to get higher audience ratings and secure more $$$, and also to have the Rose Bowl last as a grand finale since it was the BCS National Championship.

What a game! Did you see Vince Young run for 200 yards while winning the game for Texas? Elusive and fast! Makes it look easy. See ya' in Seattle!!! Joe.

Yep, it would be hard to beat Vince Young to the fish pole! He earned that win for Texas.

BSC my foot. There might have been more money raised for those connected to the game itself, but as I remember my partying days, all the bars took a big loss by not having the game on the traditional day.

Ya- that Vince Young is damn good. Looked to like the SC defense stayed home. Every thing that the SC offense got was given away by the defense. That one touchdown should have been called back, but hey- I don't think it would have made much difference, VY would have been that much closer to run it in.

All in All-- it was a good game.

Between that game last night and the one that was triple overtime, it made for two very late nights for this Right Coast Old Guy :? :star :star . I guess that's a Left Coast Advantage. Although, starting at 5PM must be kind of a pain. Helps that I doze off a lot, not much sleeping time during those two games though, they were very good....

This is becoming difficult for me. If the Redskins lose, the boat show is one day longer but if they do win, then they play the Seahawks in Seattle on Saturday when I'll be there...

Oh my, a terrible dilemma.... :cry

Agree With BUCKS Cheers :D :D :D :D
Have more than one reason to pull for the Bucks.... Yes, that Carnel "Cadillac" Williams was enjoyed in Auburn, AL for years...and still "running strong"...... and I am not a big chevy fan either...

GO BUCKS.....

War Damn Eagle!!!!

OK Pat, now do it. An interception. Now two Knees... One less boat show day, a great Super Bowl chance for the Skins.

How do I get tickets? Byrdman, are you up for it?

I guess I can now cheer on the Redskins, having been a fan for the last 37 years  And I know what it's like to be the only one in a crowd cheering for them..

Thanks CatyMae n Steve, been a "Skins" fan for a while myself but nothing much good until Joe G came back.

We'll cheer them on together. You going to be there next weekend and if I can get tickets are you interested in going? Otherwise, we'll just go drink Beer with Pat Anderson :beer .... Not a bad alternative...

No game tickets for us...I haven't been to a Seahawks game since their first season...thinking tickets might be way spendy...much more fun visiting with C-Dory folks too! Looking forward to meeting you!

Yup, I've been a Skins fan since I was stationed at Ft Meyer, VA (yes, as a teenager) and lived in DC...kids were born there too :-) I'm not a huge football fan, but love watching the Skins still...and will cheer on ANYONE playing against the WhinerNiners ANYTIME!! :-)
