Grab the kids and/or grandkids and head to a local hatchery. The spawning kings are pouring up the Columbia and tributaries. It's quite a show. This was at the Little White Salmon hatchery...

Nice shot. Fun time of year. Lots of exciting things going on in nature. Color, Migration and changes.

Just spent some time sending some Columbia River info to a friend form up north who is heading through the area. Hope he sees this too. Will be on the water there soon.
