Occupy Virginia Beach!

Starting a new movement. Am presently occupying a very nice king room on the top floor of a Marriott in Virginia Beach! Wind blowing about Force 6 outside but warm and cozy here! Thinking about a tent tomorrow (not too hard though!) Looking for someone else to pay for it on Sunday! No violence planned but perhaps a little mischief later...

A little mischief can be a lot of fun! 8)

I'm inspired by your post - tomorrow I plan to "Occupy a C-Dory." No protest, just glad to have the opportunity.

Enjoy Virginia Beach.

Best wishes,
Jim

sounds good, if you're going to start an occupy protest you might as well go first class.

speaking of movements, I occupied the restroom this morning as my bowels where protesting....I raised quite a stink but the police and news cameras never showed up

That's because the cameras were exploring a cautionary tail....(see thread entitled "A Cautionary Tale").

well Charlie, I thought there was going to be trouble, but once I got all of the required paper work done, everything came out good.

What's V. Beach like? one of these days I aim to go visit some friends there and check out the fishing, they seem to like it

Ken, VA beach is very nice, wind still blowing force 4-5 though. With this direction of the thread, I'm losing my appetite for dinner!

Charlie

You can go occupy the 17th Street Surf Shop at Virginia Beach Blvd and Pacific Ave and check out the sweeties trying on bikinis. VA Beach Blvd was originally 17th Street years ago.

In 1970, while serving my last year in the USMC in HMM 774 at NAS Norfolk I helped build out the space and wired the burglar alarm system of the original store which faced VA Beach Blvd (it had been a Chinese laundry) and my wife and the owner's wife picked out the mirrors at Kmart for the dressing rooms -- they got the ones that made you look skinny. Harriet and Lee Jones were great friends.
