The last few days have been heart breaking for us at the factory. All our work has been destroyed by this fire. We have no idea about the cause but our new focus as of this afternoon has been to look to the future. Almost all of the fleet of Cdory molds are in tact, now we need a place to build them. We hope that recent owners of the boats have noticed that we continue to try and improve the product. We are reeling but we will do everything in our power to recover!

It would be very good for you to post your plans and progress on this site as frequently as possible. You have a large community out here that need you to rise from the ashes. Perhaps a new C-Dory, first, post-fire production edition called the Phoenix 22 or 25 or such.

Mark, we are parked beside Pat and Patty on Day Dream, on our way to Lake Powell. Pat just told me the terrible news, we are so sorry!!!!

If there is any consolation, the interest in the boats is never ending. Here in Utah, we've had a number of people express interest in, and a love of the CDory boats. When you get things going again, I hope these folks beat a path to your door.

We wish you the best, and a complete and speedy recovery for your business and passion.

Judy and I wish you the best of luck in recovering the C-Dory line. Sorry about the boats under construction, but glad the molds were saved.

Hope you had insurance. I understand you rented the building and hope you can find another.

The C-Dory line has had it's ups and downs the last few years. Hopefully this will be the end.

Hopefully you meant the end of the ups/downs and NOT the end of C-Dory.

WOW, Did not know about a fire. So Sorry Mark. Do hope you are able to recover. I just had folks looking at my boat, gave them a card and told thme to contact you, getting the factory info off this site.

Anything we can do to assist, please pass it on through the site.

Val and I drive by your factory about every 2 weeks. Without fail I always point it out to her AGAIN. "There's our C Dory factory with the little C Dory on the roof"

You are more a part of our lives than you may realize! Wish you the best you your rebuild plans.

glad to hear there were no injuries and it appears the C-Dory molds are a-ok.

how are the other molds in your brand? (Sea Sport, Orca, ect.)
 
We drove down I-5 today and past the factory for the first time after the fire.
It was easy to see the building and its contents were gutted out with black soot and ashes.

I couldn't help notice the happy little 16' C dory quietly sitting on top of the roof seemingly untouched and maybe quite unaware of the destruction so close underneath it

It just spoke to me as a symbol of the enduring nature of the
C Dory line! Somehow through all these things the C Dory lives on!
Long live the C Dory and best wishes to those of you who are going to make that happen!

Nice symbolism and great focus point. That little 16 is a icon for determination.
