Normal wear and tear on hull?

Hi all,

Looking to purchase an 2002 C dory 22.

Seemed to be in great shape but just noticed gelcoat cracks in the following areas.

Under the gunnel in the forward corners
Base of the cabin bulkhead (exterior)
Around the top of the transom
Inside along the rivets
Bow tow hook

These seem to be superficial and just the gelcoat.

Any opinions?

None of those are worrisome. I would get a survey if you don't have a high level of confidence of what is structural and what is cosmetic.

The ones on the inside are just a dab of material over the end of the rivet holding the rub rail on.

There are specific causes for each of these, but without looking in detail (good photos by the way, thanks), I would hesitate to "diagnose" each one...
 
I have a 2002 with a lot more gel coat cracks than you show. I have about 1500 hours on Lake Superior, some rougher than I liked. I would say no worries with what you show.
