I replaced batteries in my 2008 22' C-Dory. I have twin Honda 40hp motors.
After installing I have no power going to the starboard motor or the power trim, port motor is working fine. I've been online searching for clues. Most say check fuses or a reset switch. I have checked every fuse I can find to no avail. The gauges on the dash respond when the key is turned but the motor will not respond. And the trim will not activate. I'm sure it's a simple fix that will embarrass me, but I need some guidance!!

Check and clean all grounds as well as positive terminals. Often when we change batteries, itis some minor "glitch" like this.

Thank you! I will go back and check terminals.

This may not be the issue, but worth checking... Two years ago, my son's boat had similar symptoms. I spent an hour on a 90 degree day troubleshooting with zero luck. The boat was at a dry stores marina and I advised my son to have them take a look. About $500 later they said that it was an issue under the dash with the kill switch wiring. Two days later my grandson was fishing in the boat off of the Chesapeake light tower and the engine would not restart. He was towed in... I advised my son to put the boat on its trailer and bring it to my house for further troubleshooting. I found the problem with his electrical issue within 30 minutes... The wire harness had a brake in the cable, where it flexed in the motor well. It also was not expensive to repair, as the local outboard shop had harness' in stock and it only took me about an hour to change it out.
