My dog Teddy has been down in the dumps lately. Can't get my self to force her to go boating. Her Back legs are bad enough now I have to lift her to get her to go out side down the ramp I made on the front steps.
This too will pass in time.
In the mean time while the C-Dory 22 sits under cover on the driveway, I finished up on my 1969 Sandcast CB750 that has been sitting in my garage for 5 yrs gathering dirt cobwebs, and anything else that landed on it.

pretty cool. my best friend lives in carthage and does hotrods and ratrods. I've never had the guts to do an actual resto but have chopped a number of bikes I picked up on craigslist for fun. Any excuse to get the welder out.
 
Wow - that looks gorgeous! The only other guy I know who can put a polish like that on metal is Joe (R-Matey). Nice work.
 
I think that's the cleanest original CB750 I've ever seen! All of the CB range is really becoming collectable. Im a big fan, of both those and old BMWs.

I've always pined after old bikes since I was a child. The really cool bikes like vincent, indian 4s and chiefs, knuckleheads etc were priced out of my income level.... as I earn more they just become more valuable. To the point they aren't ridden much anymore.

These old CBs are classics and still reliable and cheap enough a real rider can afford. Good luck with this thing, I'm envious!
 
Back in the day, I had a 1969 650 Triumph Bonneville. It was a light, fast motorcycle; I was a teenager. Then, I came upon the first Honda 750 I had ever seen... it looked hugely wide and sounded funny. Until the light changed to green... and all I saw was tail-light! :lol: The 750 Honda changed a lot of peoples' minds and ushered in a new era.

a 750 -4 was one of the first bikes I every rode. It was not is the great condition yours is in but few are. I would love to cafe one today.

have any of you seen the NEW cb1100 that came out this year? nice retro bike.
 
Now that is a beautiful restoration. Something tells me you have entered, and won competition(s). The first time I heard a Honda 4, I thought it was a well tuned British sports car. Thank you for sharing and bringing back some fond memories.
 
I had one of those. We could dust off guys riding single on 750cc Triumph twins with my wife on the back like it was a walk in the park. Ate Harley's for lunch. Developed a lover of all things Honda from that experience. If I remember right I think I paid about 1500 dollars for my new unit from the local Honda dealer. Good piece, whooped the tar out it. Never broke.
