New Years; the CD Way

Just wondered how many C Brats spent New Years on their CDs.

After the Christmas 'Holidays' over which we mostly cleaned, cooked, stepped and fetched for our family of 7 grandkids and their parental units :smilep , we decided to rest our minds and renew our spirits by hanging out on C Eagle. As soon as the Mongul hordes departed the watering hole, we packed up and headed to our Marina on Lake Guntersville.
What a great idea it turned out to be :idea ; over New Years Eve Eve, New Years Eve and New Years Day, just the two of us and Chester :dog had the marina all to ourselves where we enjoyed football, peace and quiet, sundowners :cocktail , good coffee, great food, beautiful weather :smiled and did I mention peace and quiet.

We think that we could get permenantly used to this........... Happy New Years to all brats and may 2009 be a blessed year for all.......

We spent New Year's Eve 2008 on Daydream in Andrews Bay. Not this year, however - went to a dandy New Year's Eve party at Rogerbum's (SeaDNA), very nice! But being on the boat is a great way to see in any new year, and we may do it again one of these days!

We've been doing that for years. May be my desire to avoid "amateur" drinkers, but I don't want to be on the roads on New Year's Eve. Something kinda romantic about being on the hook, away from the crowds, and celebrating the hope of a great new year with your special someone. :hug :hug2

There was a time when I thought the best way to ring in the New Year was with a couple hundred thousand of my closest friends on the Vegas strip... yeah, a quiet night on the hook is WAY better for us these days.

Happy New Year,
Jim B.
