New PNW Weather websites

Merv,

Thanks for the new sites. Might not be boating as much this season, but do enjoy keeping up on the weather.

This one has been brought up on the site before. David, (Plan C) gave it to me, and I use it regularly, and have found it to be pretty "right on", using it for crossing the strait, and running around Point Wilson to Port Townsend.

BIS Portal, quick and easy and pretty accurate for our area.

Harvey,

Every morning at first sparrowfart the dog takes me for a walk at Fort Casey and I get a first hand view of Admiralty inlet and the tide rips. These websites tell me which way round to orientate my "circuit" so I get wind assistance up the hill

On most days I can see over to your area (but not quite to Russia).

I posted the Cliff Mass blog rather than the individual sites because he always has a lot of interesting background to post on the weather which helps us to try and understand it better. He is also very humble when it all goes "pear shaped".

Take care,

Merv

I like the wind link. I have also been using portal for two years now. great site but lacks tides in the Everett area.
