New online record?

Hey Bill or Mike,

Yep, I've been seeing that same message... all the time that past day or so. I just switched to a new Powerbook Pro and was concerned that that had something to do with it. Also, and this is really strange, even though this processor is WAY faster, this site loads slower with the new computer (I actually tried them side by side)... is there something I should do or set differently?

Thanks again for making this such a great place to hang out and avoid "honey-do" projects!

Best wishes,
Jim B.

We are getting it too...

Is anyone besides me getting this when trying to view posts since last visit?

"You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."

If it's just me, then my feelings are hurt. If it is everyone, I am very sorry.

According to the Nerd's calculations, it should all straighten out by 7:00 pm PST when the future-users are caught by the past and brought into the present. If it doesn't fix itself, well, it's a thin line between nerd and dork.

I guess that should have read when the future-users are caught by the present and sent into the past.

At any rate, it is starting to look like the Nerd is pretty sharp. The online count is going down.....

But my view posts since is still busted.

And upon this line
You shall dine
Upon some crow
And a little "I told you so"

Ha...don't mess with nerds. :tux :tux :tux

Still - it was some nerd(s) somewhere who messed it up in the first place.

Praise nerdom! My "search message" is gone and all is good. Never doubted ya for a minute.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

I logged on at 21:00 and all seems normal with the site, but my computer seems to be acting a little strange. My menu has dissapeared from Task Manager and I can not close it. Want to catch up on this site, then w . . . . . . . .

Sorry guys, it was all my fault. I was using the time machine I invented a week from now - er I mean yesterday to go back and forth in an attempt to determine when (if) Joe's post number would pass Pat's. I guess my repeated log-on in the past and the future confused the server. By the way:

Pat gets the 26' Sea Ranger tug in '07 and then trades it in in '09 for the 28' version. David makes the same moves at the same time.

Brock's 16' still looks great in 2015.

A server error loses track of all post counts in July of '07 just as it appears that Joe will catch Pat. Despondent, Joe takes several months off from C-Brats and doesn't challenge Pat again until 2022.

In 2012, Dog-on Dan converts his 22 to nuclear power using technology purchased on E-bay from the North Koreans. He officially disavows he ever thought about going green.

In 2027, Bill and El are still traveling in their 22. They've replaced the truck 5 times now and are doing canals in China as I write this.

Starcraft Tom, purchases the latest Starcraft version of the CD in 2032 and is in orbit. Fishing is slow.

Also in 2032, Mike and Roger are still running the site which now has 125 million users. The discussions are mostly focussed around the new dealers in Shanghai, Bejing and Nepal. Jeff is assuring us that he's committed to providing the same quality we've come to expect even as they expand into the martian market for CD's.

Roger

You should seriously think about writing a book. You obviously have too much time on your hands.
Very funny, very funny.

Great funny post, Roger!

What happened to Bill?

"Also in 2032, Mike and Roger are still running the site which now has 125 million users."

Too much caffene put him into orbit with Tom?

Went over to the Dark Side with CC or Sea Ray?

Contracted for the Martian dealership and moved there with Dana, Jon, and C-Lou?

Became Inter-Gallactic Super Wizzard/Head Nerd and was sent to Andromeda to send cryptic SETI messages to Don as a joke?

Maybe it was just a "typo"?

Joe.

Looked at the most online stats lately? I wonder if it was the Googleboogers again or all the wives reading about Patty and Susan out cruisin'.
