Greetings to everyone. Our family has owned and greatly enjoyed our 1991 22" cruiser for several years now. We found her used on the web in Alameda, CA, and trailered her home to Seattle. The dory is not our first boat, but rather the result of a long boat search based on our needs and the strengths/weaknesses of a variety of similarly sized boats. We use our boat as a commuter between Anacortes, WA and Decatur Island, WA. We keep her moored in the water, so an outboard was a must. We liked the spartan simplicity of the cockpit and cabin, the excellent accessibility to fuel and electrical systems, the low power requirement, her stability in rough water(a friend also has a 91 cruiser we were able to test run), the cozy cabin and bulkhead door(my wife's only non-negotiable requirement), and of course her looks. We cross Rosario Strait in all seasons, usually very fully and heavily loaded. Our Dory is a workhorse more than a showhorse, but she is well kept and mechanically sound. I plan to run the Johnson 70 as long as it's reliably serviceable, then repower with an E-Tec 90 assuming their service record matches their immense promise. I was just around Decatur Is. last week. Actually I went around Center Is and then up the west side of Decatur Is to Friday Harbor for lunch. Kate and I live on Guemes Is. Where on Decatur to you live? Have to stop over and say Hi sometime.
 
Hi. Our place is on the SW part of Decatur, on the edge of the large grassy pasture there. Just East of the airstrip if you know where that is. We'll look for you this year. Maybe we can meet for a cocktail this Summer! Mike.
 
welcome to the club and hope to meet you some time. we are in the islands a lot on the weekends. there is a gathering in cornet bay next weekend you should drop in for the night.

Welcome to the C-Brats! We've walked by your place many times when we've gone over to Decatur to visit our son. He's the one with the two story house that's for sale just down the road from you. He'd told us that you had a C-Dory. We've already met Don who has the other C-Dory on Decatur. Tried to encourage him to take a look at the C-Brat site but he's a busy guy. Looking forward to meeting you at one of the C-Brat gatherings.
