Cruisers.net has just added a chart selection similiar to Active Captain for the ICW. To access it go to the main page and at the top of the screen above the sponsors there is and option "Chart View." Put your mouse over it and it will have a drop down menu that gives you choices of areas along the ICW. It has raster charts and goggle earth overlaid. It shows marinas, anchorages and bridges. It's pretty neat.

Looking but do not see it, hummmm guess I need some help.

It's sort of hard to see. Across the top you'll see HOME ICW PROBLEMS SUBMIT NEWS ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR FUEL PRICES ETC. Right below ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR you'll see in white CHART VIEW it's on top of the Pier 66 Advertisement. Run your mouse over it and it will give a drop downlist of areas. Here's a link to the NC section http://cruisersnet.net/north-carolina-map/

neat. would like something like that for the west coast.

What does this have that Active Captain doesn't? Maybe we can get Jeffrey to add whatever is missing or different.

Warren I don't think it's any better than Active Captain and maybe not as good just another option. It has and annoying goggle popup advertisment that Active Captain doesn't have. One thing Active Captain shows that it doesn't seem to is boat ramps.

Marvin, not sure where you are looking, but in our area I have annotated all of the usable ramps. The ramps do not have specific tags, so you have to sort them out from anchorages or marinas.

Some of the other maps have in-accurate details of some ramps. Ramps need a fair amount of annotation, including current, protection, wakes, and security for the truck and trailer.

.

You're right Bob as usual. It would be nice if the ramps had specific tags.
