Well, I'm now the proud owner of Tom Birdnow's 22 cruiser, Midnight Flyer. Just brought her home today. Thanks Tom! First question for all right away. One thing I learned, the c-dory doesn't center on the bunk trailer, anything like my V-hull Searay did on it's bunk trailer. The trailer under Midnight Flyer just has two bunk boards. And they seem to be a little too close together. That is, shouldn't they be positioned so that they are just inside the lowest boat chines, so that the boat can center better? If so, that'll be my first fix/change. Also, would it be better to have two more bunks? Or is just the two fine? (I do a lot of both short and long distance trailering. This is a tandem axle.) And one other thing, I notice the boat actually sits far enough forward on the trailer that about 4-6" of bunk sticks out the back. I plan on moving the boat farther back, so that the end of the bunk is even with the end of the stern. (And of course that means moving the bow stop back and take a little more weight off the tongue, but still keeping about 10% of the weight up there.) Or is that ok to have that much of the trailer bunk hanging out behind the stern? Colby

Congrats! I'll have to stop over and take a look. We purchased a Winnebago View last month so the plan is to keep our CD22 in storage this year and explore the West with the RV. Next year we'll tow it with the RV.

Glad you found one to you're liking.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the RV. We had a Winnebago Brave for some time earlier, and put a lot of mileage on it. I still have some RV stuff that I should get rid of. We have an accepted offer on our house here, and if things continue to go well, closing May 24th. However, we are just moving 2 miles due west; and you'll probably see the C-dory parked next to the house when driving down B after we move. Home the rest of this week if you want to come over. Searay is up at Skipper Buds with an offer on it, if all goes well. I guess this means I won't be able to come over and look at Brazo for ideas then... I'll be looking thru this site for ideas and pictures! ;-)
