New C-Dory 22 open Angler on Lake Erie

Greeting from the North Coast of Ohio. Papa II is the name of our new 22 angler. We have spent the past two weeks rigging the boat and fixing problems. Tomorrow is launch day. There are stress crack issues and a few other items that need to be fixed, but we are excited to get the boat into the water and see how it handles Lake Erie.

Anyone with suggestions on any topic concerning the boat rigging will be welcomed. Looking forward to reading comments or suggestions from anyone in the group.

I'd be curious for more details/photos of the stress cracks in a 2008 model year CD22.

Congrats on the new boat and good luck on the shakedown. I also have a 2008 22 Angler. I have a room full of goodies to add to her and look forward to getting to the point you are at - specifically, launching.

I haven't noticed any stress cracks on C-Squirt but am interested in seeing what you have found. Pictures of what you have added, tomorrow's launch and of the stress cracks would be great.

Welcome ! FanCdory will be on the waters of N.Y. soon, also after a little fit out and a lot of bucks....But I can't, at present, think of a better way to spend it.

Once again, welcome aboard! I enjoyed our phone call the other night and when we get back from our camping trip in July, I'll give you a call and hopefully we can get together on Lake Erie.
