New C-Dory 22 Cruiser

Pandy Girl

New member
Hi All,
We have just purchased a new 22 Cruiser, we went on a trip to Wa. and saw some C-Dorys on the rivers and they were looking good. We came back home to NC and found a dealer about 250 miles from us and the rest is history.
We have had it about 3 weeks and love it, we spent 3 nights on it last weekend.
We are from the Tarheel state of Northern NC.
I just found this Forum yesterday and looked at a lot of Pics
last night.

Welcome Jim and Sandy, appears that you're hooked for life -- just like the rest of us!! Looking forward to hearing about your experiences.

Welcome...and congrats on your new boat! Yep, you are about to succumb to "C-Dory-itis". It's ok, we all have it bad!

There's tons of good info around here...

JimandSandy - welcome aboard. Glad to have you as members of this site. You could not have joined a better group than the C-Brats. If you ever get back to the northwest give me a holler. Would be a pleasure meeting you two.

Welcome Jim and Sandy. You have found a great boat and this site is a wonder to behold. We bought our 22' last April and have enjoyed it thoroughly. The wise (and wiseacre) folks on this site can answer virtually any question and sometimes they're even right!!

Best wishes.

Welcome...and now ya need to come back and meet us all in person at the Seattle Boat Show....The C-Dory party is a super place to meet friends and put faces to names.... The factory puts on a great dinner and tour...plus getting all the first hand information and planning for your next C-Dory event...

Welcome to the group Jim & Sandy....your dealer back there should've warned ya .... you didn't just get a boat...you got this extended boating cult uhh, I mean, family too.. we come with the boat...

Welcome aboard--don't forget the C Dory gatherings--and I am sure there will be one again next year in the Gulf Area of Florida--we have folks come from all over the South. Look up C Brat members where ever you are; you'll find a great welcome.

Hi All,
Thanks for the good welcome, looking at some the gatherings that has been took place,
Look like everyone at the Gulf Coast had a good time. Maybe we can make some of them.
Thanks,
Jim & Sandy

Welcome aboard Jim and Sandy. Great to have other East siders on board!! Our numbers are ever increasing. Now.. do not think just cause you are new that you can't just toss together a gathering of your own in some of your local waters. That is what is so fun about having these trailerable cruisers. We just drag'em to where someone knows a bit about the local accomidations/ramps/waters.... and there ya go!!

We have done a couple in the Nashville TN area over the last couple of years and had folks show from CA, CO, KY, AL, FL.... and some folks from NY made the Gulf Coast one this year....along with others from AR... so... we travel a bit, eat a lot, and have a great time with our boats.

Go ahead and request from the admin folks of the site a photo album and post some pics of your boat and crew. That is for sure another way we learn new things to try on our boats. We are always just-a-fixin things.

Welcome again.

Congrats, Jim&Sandy & Pandy Girl!! How'd Pandy Girl get her name?

from: another new CD owner and wannabe since late '90's!! :D

Welcome to C-Brats Jim and Sandy. I've been trying to locate Westfield, N. C. on our atlas, but to no avail. Where is Westfield near? (Went to college in N. C. and also spent some military time in N. C.)

Allan and Virginia,
Pandy Girl was my nickname when I was a little girl. Just thought it would be neat to name our C-Dory Pandy Girl. Its different isn't it? Thanks for asking. Sandy

Hi Byrdman,
We enjoyed all of the Pic of the Gulf Coast outing what a wonderful time all had. We will try to go to some in 2007 we are going to Tx. for a month of Jan. to find a place where we can take our C-Dory on the next trip on the coast.
We will consider looking for a place to have some C-Dory owners at one of our local Lakes.
Thanks Again
Jim
PS Does some of the C-Dory owners pull theres behind Motorhomes? We could do that or pull with a truck and stay in the C-Dory.

Hi Dave S.
Glad to know you have been to NC, have you ever hear of Mount Airy home of Andy Griffin it is about 40 Miles north of Winston Salem NC. We are about 20 miles east of Mt. Airy on the Va. & NC State Line at the foot of the Appalachian Mountians. Check out the zip code which is 27053 that will get you to where we are.
Jim

We would like to have a Photo Album

Very well then. Just click that blue Pandy Girl to the left of your posts. The new album is real easy to figure out. Just use the commands in the drop-down box near the right top of the album page and follow the prompts.

Congratulations on the new boat!

Mike

Jim and Sandy,
Found your location on the map. I attended college outside of Asheville and was stationed for a bit of time at Fort Bragg (Fayetteville). Back in the 60's, I hitch-hiked quite a bit of N.C. and Tennessee. (I remember one night hitch-hiking near Greensboro, when a family...dad, mom and two small children picked me up. The kids had said earlier to their folks, "why don't we pick up one of those soldiers hitch-hiking?" Their parents said, "OK, next time we see one standing out there alone".....and I turned out to be the lucky one!

Jim & Sandy,

Welcome to the C-Brats. As time goes along, and you become more familiar with all the folks in the Circle you will notice this is one of the largest and most active sites out there. It's well run, and populated with a bunch of C-Dory diehards that are almost over the Edge about their great boats. Me too!

One of the great things you will find about the C-Dory is its adaptability. The boat itself is almost like a blank canvas, just waiting for you to express yourself. Since you're retired, you will find that you're giving so much thought to what you're going to do next (to the boat) it provides endless opportunity to discuss the direction you (Both) want to go with the boat. Fishing, cruising, interior fluff, galley organization, boat jewelry and electronics, the proper kind of folding chairs, how to manage storage, where to install access doors (or not); the list is endless, but it's all Fun. Pretty soon Pandy Girl will truly be Your's; treat her well.

Good choice! Enjoy.
