New Boat Name

Well we did it. Our boat is no longer named Captain's Choice. Although our boat had never been christened with this name we still requested proper denaming instructions from Reverend Dave. He assured us that it would be OK as long as we performed "Vigor's Interdenominational Boat Denaning Ceremony". In a quiet ceremony this morning at Twin Bridges Marina the name was removed using a heat gun borrowed from Reverend Dave himself (it worked great--thanks).
Our boat will be now & forever more called WHY KNOT & will be christened during the CB@LI get together the end of April.
With this change in names we need help from one of our supernerd friends--Mike or Bill. Please change our name in the Photo Album section. Don't confuse us with our Captains Choice friends on the East coast. Thanks for your help, :thup
 
Wade, Lois, Bunky and the new Why Knot:

Congratulations on the new name. I can't say I'm sad at being the only Captain's Choice, even though we're not allowed to use the "apostrophe"!! We've had 4 boats with this name, which originated first from my better half saying, on the boat name discussion, "Well, you're the Captain, it's your choice". I was a navy captain at the time and very seldom got a choice, herself being an Admiral, so I took it!!!

Anyway, us here on the right coast, bid a fond farewell, following seas, and fair winds to the left coast Captain's Choice and a hearty welcome and twenty one gun salute to the new Why Knot! We host a glass to you!! Or maybe several....

Should be up there in a few weeks. Rumor has it a certain red boat may make an appearance...
 
Hey Wade I am glad you let us know that you changed the name. I would be looking for your boat at Twin Bridges and never finding it. Why Not, I like it.

Fred, it is Why Knot, knot Why Not.

To Captains Choice on the Right Coast, you are a class act. And I have a really good feeling you aren't acting. To Wade on the Left Coast and the renamed Why Knot, great name and I salute your choice on the new name and raise a snifter to both of you. I am neighbors to Wade et al on Why Knot and would love to see Captains Choice on the waters of the San Juans. It's a long way over, but well worth the trip. Besides, if you got over here all of us would have to reciprocate and bother the heck out of you over there.
