Hello, I am moving to Kodiak Alaska with the Coast Guard and I am looking for a boat. A gentlemen has a nice C-Dory in the Fairbanks area and is asking $29,900 OBO. It has a 2013 Evinrude Etec engine with a 15HP kicker, pot puller, wallis heater, furuno, electric downriggers and trailer. Is it really worth $29,900? Please help me decide. Thank you.

If it's in reasonable shape and has a trailer, let me be the first to tell you it's worth it.

Check out the prices in the lower RH side of the home page.

In case you want to connect with another C-Dory owner on Kodiak, there is a Coast member at Air Station Kodiak that has an older 22 C-Dory. He was in a recent episode of Coast Guard Alaska on the Weather Channel.

Good luck with your search.

Close enough! I have a 1990 22' Angler with 2012 ETEC 90, 5hp kicker, pot puller and no heater....absolutely love it for fishing and crabbing in Puget Sound.

An early 90's boat which I used to own, with about that vintage e-tec, sold for about that number recently. So, yes, that is the going price. Always have a survey or check the boat out well yourself.

Assuming the boat is in good condition, that sounds like a reasonable price.

If you would kindly take it up to Larsen Bay, I would be glad to fish it for you!!!

Seriously though, thanks to you and your fellow Coast Guard team members for being there when you're needed!

We had a '94 22 footer cruiser and it was very well built. It had the older (better) style Lazarette covers. The only negative, and I mean only, was the placement of the bilge pump just outside the door. If it checks out with a survey, you will have a fine boat with a great combo of an older hull and a newer motor.
