nashville c-brats

my wife and i will be traveling to nashville tn. this weekend to visit with and celebrate our son's birthday. we'll have the better part of friday to look about. any suggestions on friendly marina's close to the downtown area? if they have a restaurant, that would be better yet.
thanks

Capt. Patrick,
rock harbor marina (www.rockharbormarine.com) is at mm190.5 LBD on the cumberland river. Arch Kelley is the harbor master and i understand the Blue Moon Resturaunt :beer :cocktail is open ther. i would call ahead @ 1-800-542-7625 due to the off season. i would glady join you but, having just returned from seattle, i am playing "catch-up" at work. Hendersonville offers two good spots: Creekwood Marina, Steamboat Bill's :beer :cocktail is across the street, (615-264-8103) and Anchor High Marina, with Anchor High Grill (615-824-0990). Cherokee Boat Dock & Steakhouse is another local haunt where you can BYOB but no drinks or beer is served, but steaks that are great at the foot of the hwy 109 bridge in Lebanon (615-452-1515) they open at 4:15 P.M.
If you must limit your visit to downtown, Joe's Crabshack :beer :cocktail will delite your palat on 2nd Ave (615-242-2722) or if seafood ain't yo' thang...Demos' s Spagetti and Steakhouse :beer :cocktail on 300 Commerce St. (615-256-4655).
feel free to call me (615-218-9428) on the cell!! hope this will help.

hi mike,
your information is well received! thank you.
not sure what activities our son may have scheduled for us, so it's play it by ear. we will however, try out at least one of the restuarants you have recommended.
thanks again for your time and help.
best regards

hi mike,
that sounds like a plan we need to develope. maybe we could show those west coast c-brats a thing or two! great food, terrific fellowship, cold beer and of course, a fishing lie, i'm sorry, i meant to say, why yes, story, here and there.
perhaps, we might even import a west coaster c-brat, as a guest speaker!
at any rate, linda and i are off for nashville.
we're looking forward to this up-coming boating season.
best regards

CPT Pat: Do recall the fact that in Apr05 we had a nice gathering on the Cumberland River System....and 2 boats from CA were there, along with Bill and El...and who really knows what state to say they are from....and some others who claim east side as home....but have also popped up in Alaska waters (Wonderer...George and Penny).... so those west coaster are players in/at our east side gatherings. Hope to meet ya some day on the waters with Brother Mike and B.

8) :idea well now, Capt. Pat...do i detect an idea developing? i see BYRDMAN has given the info that we here in the southeast draw a goodly number of western, as well as other points in the CONUS, brats! perhaps we can massage this and turn it into the real deal. enjoy your trip to nashville. you got the numbers, so give me a call if the need arrises.

hi gypsy and c-byrd,
we would absolutely support a boating get-together. linda and i spent this past weekend in nashville, visiting our son. what a terrific city! nashville seems to be everything cincinnati is not, clean, safe and fun! bravo, nashville.
our misty seas at resting now, high and dry. i still need to install a rv roof mounted a/c unit, other than that, just waiting for warmer weather.
since you guys are old salts, ( i'd better tread lightly here) what would you recommend? cumberland river, or land between the lakes, or one of the several nashville lakes?
on a personal note, mike (c-byrd), thanks for the help. didn't get to joe's crabshack, but did make it to the aquarium restaurant. fantastic place!
also, got a tour of vanderbilt hospital, quite a place.
best regards
pat
