Naming my boat

You can always slow down to displacement speeds!

Gas on Shasa Lake is currently down to $4.50 a gallon (from$4.75).

My CD-22 holds 36 gallons, ='s $162, and

My Sea Ray holds 120 gallons, ='s $540! (also ='s over $1/minute at cruise)

besides, 5-6 mph is more relaxing and peaceful :wink

Joe.

With huge refineries in nearby Oklahoma, we do often enjoy lower fuel prices. However, the last few days, it has jumped back up in price. Unleaded was $2.27, and diesel $2.49 this am here in Wichita.

Many of my farm neighbors head down to the stations right at the refinery area and load up on cheaper gas down there. I take the RV down there too.

The great Pacific Northwest inland sea was called the Salish Sea after the Salish (long a) speaking tribes inhabiting the area. We had considered naming the boat "Salish-C" in honor of this.
I'm not gonna use the name, it's up for grabs.

By the way, I get this popup window from Norton System Dr. that says "optimazation... 48%". Is this a good thing or not?

Also, while I'm here, how do I post an image in a thread from "my pictures" files?

You guys are really helpful-if anybody is going to Safeway could you pick up a few things for me? Seriously, Thanks for all the considerable help. I appreciate it.
Marty – I started a new thread to answer this so as not to hyjack this one.

Appreciate all the suggestions for names, but now that we've got a name for our boat, and we now have the boat, what are the recommendations for boat graphics for the name ? I saw something about a online place that does the name - what do most folks do. And what size is generally used ?

Thanks,

Tom

I was thinking of C-What?

Guy sees the boat, "what the hell is that?"

A C-Dory

"A C-What?"

Hey, I'm from the south ok?

Still might use it so I have dibbs.

Tom,
I used Prism Graphics on Lake Union and was happy with the results. Can't remember what size letters I used but mine are smaller than most.

Search for the thread 'Letter size for Name' and you'll find some more info and pics from others.

When I had my sailboat at the local marina last year the fising boat in front of me was named "Bite Me".
Got to thinking maybe I should name my sailboat "Blow M-" but I chickend out.
Didnt think the wife would approve.

IF YOU'VE BEEN AROUND BOATING FOR AWHILE, AS MOST OF YOU HAVE, AND YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THE UP'S AND DOWN'S WE GO THRU, JUST TO HAVE AND USE A BOAT, WITH THAT IN MINED, THE NAME THAT STICKS OUT MOST FOR ME IS: ( LAST BOAT 4 )

I finally came up with the perfect boat name:

Tedious Nautical Pun

Eh? EH?? It's perfect! :-)

Actually, I've got a name in mind for Two Lucky Fish, but I'm not saying what it is until I'm sure.
