My war on underground terrorist.

Ah..... it looks like it's time for me and my little mole buddies to rent a helo and drop in behind enemy lines.
Roger – it looks like I am going to have to ask my allies for help.

dave you are having way to much fun, can I come play?
Tom – I am glad you asked and I believe your military experience will come in handy. I need your help and support before Roger can get his fat pawed buggers together for a counter offensive.

Warren – you are right, it is I.

I am injecting oxygen and propane into their holes (a mixture of 3% propane and 97% oxygen). Moles are very susceptible to concussion and when the mixture goes off it makes quite an explosion. Even if they are not killed by the initial blast, it should get some of the others from the concussion. Propane is heavy so it will flow into the hole and into the lower chambers.

The field I am doing was disked early this summer, so there was no sod on it and it throws more dirt from the explosion than a lawn or field with grass on it. I no longer have moles in the field but they keep moving in from the timber, especially in two areas. The field has been planted now so every time I see any sign that they are moving into the field, I blast them.

The mole gun I am using was developed by a farmer in Idaho about 15 years ago. He started a business to market the device but went bankrupt. Now there are three companies I know of that make similar devices. They cost from $1,500.00 to $3,500.00 and that is without the tanks.

Dave, my grandfather was a machinist and made a mole gun/cannon. It was a small 12 gauge cannon that had a pressure plate to set it off. I was pretty young, so never did get my hands on it. My grandparents would bury it in the mole's tunnel. You never knew when it was going to touch off.

I did get my hands on the splitting gun (off topic). It was a tapered muzzle loader type barrel that after charging, would be hammered into a butt twist stump. A little piece of dynamite fuse, a match and run like hell. Up it went, the stump was in splinters, and it whistled as the air hit the powder hole on the way down. I can remember it coming through the woodshed roof at least twice.

Hunh. Wonder why the power goes down. Might be a matter of the speed of the flame front or something. I guess I wouldn't make much of a terrorist, would I?

Thanks again for posting the link. You are having waaay too much fun!

BTW, I have a personal beef with the buggers: once, they rousted Becky and me out of deep sleep in our tent when it was pitched on the coarse sand of one of the dredge spoil islands on the Columbia ... the dirty rascal tunneled right under us. First woke up Becky (she screamed) as it writhed its tunnel past her hips. The scream woke me up, and I laughed so hard I thought I would spit, until it finished its snake like path under my hips! That was one of the creepiest feelings ever ... no wonder she screamed.

We have underground terrorist here in East Texas with lots of experience. I go after them like this. I attach a hose to my old jeep exhust, put the other end into an opening, plug as many other openings as I can and let her run at idle speed for an hour or so depending on the size of the area. It is easy to do and I get good results. I do not think later model engines would work. The older the better.

Al Gore would not be happy.....yeah, I said it....

I guess if Al came by I would offer him the same treatment as I do all underground terrorist but if Pamela came calling we would have to discuss the procedure, even go out on the boat for a few days, in an effort to show her the light. I wouldn't feel a bit unsafe either, as I've seen her swim. Doubt I would even wear my life jacket. I guess my position would be, how good the ground is as a co2 filter. It is isn't it? Be right back the door bell is ringing, could be Pamela!
